A.I. COLLINSON SPIRIT AWARD
CRITERIA: Must have been a student at A.I. Collinson Elementary School. Requires additional application.

BRAGAGNOLO BURSARY
CRITERIA: Applicant must have attended Blewett School for a minimum of one school year (excluding Kindergarten).
HISTORY: Established by the Blewett School community in 1980 as a tribute to Mr. Bragagnolo, who was the Principal at Blewett Elementary from 1966 to 1980.

DAVID THOMPSON ART AWARD - Not available until 2017.
The is award is for students demonstrates artistic abilities and planning to pursue a program of study in fine arts including fields of theatre,visual arts, creative writing, music, performance, film and video.
It requires a presentation to a panel where the student displays and discusses their background in aforementioned areas. The presentations will take place on late April 2016. You will be notified of the time and place if you are short-listed.

DOGWOOD DISTRICT AWARD/DISTRICT AUTHORITY AWARD
Note new criteria for this year.
The Dogwood District Awards Program rewards students for excellence in the areas of Fine Arts, Second Languages, Applied Skills, Physical Activity and Community Service and Indigenous Language and Culture. A student could be involved in the following areas of study to qualify for the award: art, band, textiles, foods, mechanics, technology, P.E., media arts, French, Spanish, etc. Unlike previous years, you don't need to be studying in your specialty area.
It requires a presentation to a panel where the student displays and discusses their superior achievement in the aforementioned areas. The presentations will take place at LVR on April 27, 2016. You will be notified of the time and place if you are short-listed. The scholarship will now be a $1250 voucher that can be used toward post-secondary education tuition.

GEORGIA ETHEL MCKEOWN BURSARY
CRITERIA: Awarded to a student with a high academic standing who plans to continue their post secondary education with consideration given to financial need.
HISTORY: Georgia Ethel McKeown was a long time teacher in the Nelson area.

GET HIGH ON NATURE SCHOLARSHIP
CRITERIA: Pursuing post secondary education in an area related to environmental studies and has a solid record of environmental activities. Please make sure to read information beow and submit additional page description.

YELLOWHEAD ROAD AND BRIDGE (KOOTENAY) LTD. SCHOLARSHIP
CRITERIA: Strong academics and evidence of leadership and service to school or community.
