LVR Student Council Progress Report
The Student Council has worked hard throughout first semester to gather information about the concerns that the students have. Just recently, the Council met with school- and school district-administration to discuss what they found out, and what the Student Council will do in second Semester. To find out more about the progress of the Council so far this school year, please read the attached report.

The survey for "Most Pertinent Issues to the Students of LVR" has been tallied. With 71% voter turnout, the three most important issues to the students are:
1. Slow Wi-Fi around the school.
2. A lack of: hot water, biodegradable soap, better feminine hygiene products, and paper towels for the washrooms.
3. Harsh, flickering lights in classrooms.
The Student Council will be working hard over the next couple of weeks to create a presentation for administration, so that a plan to improve these issues can be created.

Over the past two months several committed students and I have worked hard to set up a student council at LVR. The goal of the council is to connect students with administration, and to inspire students to participate in the school community and more broadly. We looked for responsible, reliable students that are willing to put in additional work. I am pleased to say that we have been able to assemble a group of students that are truly dedicated to representing the student body at LVR:
Sophie Borhi
Margaret Saville
Kaitlyn Taburiaux
Hannah Collinson
Charly Defouw
Talia Westergreen
Lily Miller
Linn Murry
Sophie Burkholder
Amelia Martzke
Hannah Sachs
Kozmo Sammartino
This group of twelve students will be representing the entire school; while they gather information from students, present issues to administration, and initiate new programs and policies for the school. The council is working diligently to create opportunities for the students of LVR to give their input soon.
Thanks everyone for your interest,
Simon, on behalf of the Student Council
