NOTE: Individual completed applications are submitted either directly to the sponsor by the process indicated above, or to Mrs. Lorie Buss in the main office EXCEPT where a different deadline is indicated. Applications can be handed into the office the week of April 4th or direct to sponsor if indicated - please read carefully where to submit the applications. AVALANCHE SKILLS TRAINING BURSARY
CRITERIA: For students who are interested in gaining skills in avalanche awareness and who may be planning to get into outdoor education, guiding or be safe recreationalists in our backcountry. Students need adequate ski or snowboard skills that are regular pre-requisites for AST 1 & AST 2 or level 1 professional avalanche course. Training needs to be done within the next ski season.

HISTORY: Caitlynd was a 2006 LVR graduate who loved Basketball.

CRITERIA: Proceeding with post-secondary education in the fields of natural history, environmental studies or parks management.
HISTORY: Carter and Bing were two avid outdoorsmen with respect for and appreciation of the wilderness. In 1996, both men gave their lives in the pursuit of safety for others. John by an avalanche while patrolling ski runs and Bill by a plane crash while searching for a downed plane.

CRITERIA: To worthy students who plan to continue their post-secondary education to include college, university, trade, vocational or artistic training and private music lessons.
